15th Regional Symposium on R & D Highlights

There are indications that linkages between end-users and the technology genrators have not been adequately accorded the attention in deserves to facilitate effective delivery of technology. The lack of information on the technology needs of end users by technology generators on  one hand, and the available technologies by end users on the other, greatly deprive both parties of opportunities which are set at their disposal.

Aware of these in adequacy, this regiona integrated activity will focus on the presentation/discussion of technologies and information for dissemination that were indentified during the agency in-house reviews. This activity is referred to as "Regional Symposium on Research and Development (R&D) Highlights, which shall be participarted in by technology generators, comminocators, extension workers, research managers, policy makers, and farmer leaders. It envisions to facilitate the dissemination of breakthroughs and significantfindings to end users by providingthe venue where they could interact, keep abreast of the newly developed technologies and be able to evaluate the potentials of such technologies.

Science & Technology must be applied and put into practice in all levels of productive activity to serve its role as a primer of life. Thus, the R&D Highlights is conducted annually in order to attain the maximum level of mechanism to promote the transfer and utilization of technologies and research results, hence this activity.
